All TA packages start with an initial assessment.

We offer TA packs which include an initial diagnostic assessment/literacy assessment containing  recommendations for school and home.  A follow up meeting is offered to parents, Senco and the class teacher.  TA packs are designed for pupils who would benefit from a daily intervention programme run by a teaching assistant in the school.  Teaching assistants are provided with: the pupil’s targets; resources to meet the targets; training and modelling from one of the specialist teachers in how to implement the packs. The specialist teacher will then reassess the pupil halfway through the year-long programme and provide new targets/resources and training as necessary.  A final review is completed at the end of three terms.
